CYCLES POSTGRADES
Water resources management and engineering, hydrology and hydraulic schemes specialisations
The main objective of this new Master of advanced studies in water
resources management and engineering is to train specialists (in
hydrology and hydraulic schemes) for public and private sectors capable
of responding to current and future needs of the society regarding water
resources management. This University-level course encourage
participants trough a part time structured teaching and a MAS thesis
work to attain: (i) high scientific and technical skills in the
different fields of application of hydrology and hydraulic engineering,
(ii) a global vision of water resources management integrating legal,
socio-economic cultural and environmental aspects, (iii) ability to
manage project at Swiss or international levels and to adapt to a
foreign environment. Length: 24 month, part time.
Technology and Sustainable Development (TSD)
Role of technology in development in the context of emerging countries: Introduction on technology, sustainable development and historical background; Technology assessment, impacts, risks; Technological innovations and integration; Economics of projects and SME's; Field projects. Length: 15 weeks, full time.
PROGRAMME POSTGRADE
Analyse et gestion des risques géologiques (CERG)
En collaboration avec le DGC et l'Université de Genève
Gestion des risques et catastrophes naturelles, risques volcaniques, sismiques et hydrologiques. Durée: 3 mois.
